On Caprica, Kara is shot and wakes up in a remote hospital facility, and learns that her friendly doctor has his own plans for her future. Believing the human race must be repopulated or face extinction, he encourages Kara to bear children. |

'Starbuck' returns to the Galactica from Caprica after having travelled there to retrieve the Arrow of Apollo and our heroes have to now go to Kobol and the Tomb of Athena where they will supposedly find the directions to Earth. There's a huge group heading down to the planet, including 'Starbuck', 'Apollo', 'President Roslin', 'Tom Zarek' and a couple of 'Zarek's men. forcing Commander Adama to find a new flight leader for the Galactica..President Roslin puts her trust in a Cylon as humanity's best hope in finding the road home to Earth. |

The Battlestar Pegasus, thought to be destroyed in the original Cylon attack, stumbles upon the Galactica. The commander of the Pegasus, Admiral Cain is Adama's superior and takes command, also deciding to make some major changes to the Galactica's crew. Tension mounts and violence ensues, with the two ships eventually becoming involved in a fire-fight and the Galactica at a serious disadvantage.... |

Newly promoted Admiral William Adama welcomes a visitor to the Galactica, alongside Colonel Tigh. He is Royan Jahee, a tall and dignified man who speaks for a newly emerging pacifist movement within the fleet. They wish to seek peace with the Cylons, and believe that the Colonials' current plan of fleeing, always losing people and supplies in unending conflicts, can't possibly lead to the survival of the human race, let alone any kind of "victory."

Lee Adama invesitages the murder of a Colonial command officer, Fisk, and is entangled with a mafia-like group of criminals on board the Prometheus. They believe that their existence is necessary and invaluable to the fleet. When the government and the military fails to take care of its people, they are there with food, medicine, or whatever else is needed.

The Colonial fleet is plagued by a mad Cylon raider, a living ship that continues to assault the fleet with hit-and-run attacks.

Lee, Ellen Tigh, and Petty Officer Dualla find themselves in the middle of a hostage situation when four gunmen seize control of the lounge on Cloud Nine. Three men are led by a woman, Sesha Abinell -- once a cook on the Greenleaf who only wanted to lead a normal life. Now, following the death of her husband at the hands of the Cylons, she is demanding justice: a life for a life. Her only demand is that Galactica hand over the Cylon Sharon to her.

Lee Adama travels to the Battlestar Pegasus, where he meets up with Kara Thrace. Lee has been promoted to Major, and Kara to Captain. The two encounter Commander Barry Trammel, now in charge of the Pegasus, who orders Kara to the flight deck while he and Lee proceed to C.I.C.

Cylon society is revealed when a Cylon's consciousness is downloaded into a new body following her death.

The Galactica crew is stunned when the Cylons send representatives with an overture of peace. Starbuck's return to Caprica adds spice to a planet that's already already full of sizzling developments and eerie parallels to our own world. Meanwhile, Baltar's political fortunes brighten thanks to a sudden discovery of a habitable world in the opener of the two-part season finale.
